Giw highlights some of the stories that he has found to be of particular interest in 2010.

The iPad launch created huge amounts of interest, including my own. Once I find a way I can use it amongst my other gadgets and phones I’m sure it’ll be on my shopping list.

WD-40’s use of twitter provided me with an invaluable insight in to different ways the social media phenomenon can be used. The recent news that journalists will allowed to tweet from court (subject to the judge’s permission), show how tweeting is now one of the most important, and quickest ways to communicate news.

The new configurator for Jaguar Land Rover is an impressive use of the latest website technology, which allows users to build their car piece by piece. I read other motor manufacturers are now looking at the new technology so perhaps 2011 could see a new wave of online car portals.

Wikileaks is a subject I couldn’t miss out, mainly because it’s top of most news agendas. Whether the information it produces is informative, interesting or dangerous, is subject to individual perception. I’m sure it will still be creating a stir well into 2011.
