Gow takes a look forward and highlights some of the events he is anticipating over the coming year.

The Rugby World Cup has traditionally favoured beer, banking and insurance for advertisers, but I’m looking forward to seeing if there’s any ‘newcomers’ to this advertising market area.

A Royal wedding always attracts advertisers and I’m sure it will provide the good, the bad and the ugly in terms of adverts.

Further revelations from WikiLeaks are bound to create headlines across the world. Whether we learn much from these stories will dictate how long the furore continues, although I’m sure it will continue until at least the snow melts.

Talking of which, the weather is something everyone has been affected by in some way or another. I’m hoping the anti-freeze capabilities of WD-40, including helping start damp engines and freeing up frozen locks, continues to help people as we all struggle to cope with conditions many countries have every year.
