The site, which took ten weeks to turnaround, initially saw the agency use social media to drive awareness of the site, while the countdown holding page was live.

Those registered received progress updates to the launch of the microsite and the Ambush exit event.

Briefed to produce a microsite for the Astute Class submarine programme, Forepoint developed a site using HTML5 and CSS3 which allowed the agency to provide a site that would enhance user experience.

The design and content would also highlight the skills and expertise of BAE staff, contractors and suppliers, based initially on the award winning publication, Astute Exit Barrow which was previously produced for BAE Systems Submarine Solutions.

Following its launch, the site will be updated continually and run parallel with the development of the Astute class programme and will also see Forepoint continue its SEO, social network strategy and define an education programme with schools and colleges.
