Quality Meat Scotland has appointed Jack Broussine to the position of marketing executive, replacing incumbent Gordon Sloan in the role of promoting Scotch beef, lamb and pork.

The role will see Broussine assume the reins of QMS’s Specially Selected Pork campaigns as well as looking after the public procurement sector and independent retailers.

Broussine assumes the role having previously delivered marketing and business strategies in the food and hospitality trade, including Nick Nairn Consultancy and Hilton Worldwide.

Laurent Vernet, head of marketing for Quality Meat Scotland, said: “Jack was a strong candidate for the role as, on top of his academic record; he’d also gained a great deal of experience in the food sector, and particularly in the marketing of Scottish food.

“As well as his professional strengths, he also showed a strong personal interest in good food, both its production and provenance, as well as food preparation which also made him a great fit for this role.”
