Californian technology company 8X8 Inc has appointed Guerilla to develop a campaign theme and associate marketing materials for international technology tradeshow ITXPO.

The Newcastle creative agency was chosen, following Helen Ross, marketing manager for the technology company, who was disillusioned with the quality of creative work being produced in California, coming across Guerilla’s website and studying its portfolio online.

Helen Ross, explained: “I came across their website and loved the work they’ve done. It is an experiment using a non-US agency to help us to create our most high profile campaign of the year, but so far Guerilla have over exceeded our expectations in every respect. They have provided a refreshing new approach to the creative and the time difference is also great; when I come in the work is ready for me to look at.”

The creative work uses images of 8X8 service users touching virtual reality screens, to represent how easy they make communications.

The creative output has already seen images of users of the 8X8 services touching virtual reality screens to represent how easy they make communicating.

Matt Clark, senior creative at Guerilla, added: “When we got the call it was out of the blue but we looked at it as a massive opportunity to show what we can do internationally. We liked the challenge of creating a campaign theme that positions 8X8 Inc. as the market leader in their field”.
