An event is to be held for businesses in the north east of England to offer advice about online security to regional companies.

Following the recent high profile cases of website hacking, three North East businesses; Fusebox Design, Rozmic and Phortress, will highlight the threat to business in the region by hackers at the free seminar, supported by The Centre for eBusiness.

Laura Hobson, director of Fusebox Design, said; “Information security is an important issue to Fusebox Design. Many of our clients, including one of the region’s Police Forces, hold a range of important and often sensitive information on their systems. This information must be protected by law. It just makes sense all round to put the right systems in place.

“Fusebox Design has worked with Rozmic and Photress as independent advisors on a number of projects now. It is a relationship that really works for us and the clients. This free event is a great way of coming together to pass on vital information to North East businesses.”

The free-to-attend event, being held on Friday 19 November at the Fusebox office in Newcastle will last around two hours.
