SLB to promote Leeds Retail Therapy Awards

SLB Public Relations has been appointed to promote the 2010 Leeds Retail Therapy Awards.

Leeds-based SLB will "assist with press and marketing" in the run up to the October event at the Royal Armouries.

The agency was given the task by publisher The Leeds Guide, which is the awards' media partner.

Tom Goodhand, editor of The Leeds Guide, said: "We asked SLB to manage the PR for the Leeds Retail Therapy Awards because they're a well-established PR team who are great at producing interesting stories and professional press releases and in their communication with journalists."

The Leeds Retail Therapy Awards, now in their sixth year, were set up to celebrate the Yorkshire city's "retail culture" which organisers claim attracts close to a million visitors a year.
