Advertising and PR agency Ward Lovett and digital outfit Interactive Marketing have confirmed they have completed a merger.

The deal sees Birmingham-based Interactive Marketing join Ward Lovett at its office in Cannock to form a company with a combined staff of 29.

The merger is intended to provide a "complete communications" service to current and prospective clients but they will continue to trade under their individual brands "for the near future".

Nick Lovett, former shareholder and director of Ward Lovett, has helped "ensure a smooth continuation of service" but has now left the business to "explore other career interests".

Mark Roberts, Interactive Marketing director, said: "Both Ward Lovett and Interactive Marketing have very clear strengths in different skills sets which we believe will complement each other in the merged agency."

Ward Lovett director Kerst Ward (pictured, right, with Roberts), added: "It’s not enough to be a specialist in a few disciplines, clients are demanding a communications service which draws on a complete ‘tool kit’ to deliver an integrated solution.

“With the changes that the merger will bring I am confident that we will be able to seamlessly combine all aspects of the marketing mix under one roof.”

Ward founded Ward Lovett almost 16 years ago and the agency's clients include Cousins Furniture, Robins and Day, Citroen Retail Group and the Greyhound Racing Association.

Interactive Marketing has been trading for 11 years and works with Masterlease, Yale Locks, Patisserie Valerie and Accord Housing.
