Al Qaeda, tired it seems of lurking in far off caves and infiltrating the internets furthest nether reaches, is launching a bid for the mainstream by publishing an English language magazine perfect for your coffee table.

Dubbed ‘Inspire’ the propaganda piece, published online as a PDF, takes an uncompromising message of hate direct to the infidel by ditching impenetrable Arabic scrawl and FBI baiting websites for something a little more user friendly.

The Summer 2010 edition promises a range of articles with frontline contributions from full time terrorists such as Asrar Al-Mujahideen 101.

Even the once staid arena of home economics gets the explosive treatment as the ‘AQ Chef’ instructs budding jihadists on how to “Make a bomb in the kitchen of your mom.”

Published by Malahim Media the slick webzine’s authenticity hasn’t been disputed by experts, who worry that the publication could extend the reach, pull and influence of the group.

Media savvy it encourages readers to submit articles, comments and suggestions and marks a bid by the shadowy organisation to recruit English speaking muslims to its bloody cause.

Whether the mag will be forced onto the top shelf alongside other dodgy publications is not yet clear but efforts to publish online have already hit a snag as unknown groups contaminate the files with viruses, forcing it offline.
