Virgin Media Television has commissioned a new website for the most recent series of Britain’s Next Top Model, which launches on LIVING this summer.

The site is to be designed by Leeds digital agency Numiko, and is to be visually rich with a focus on social media and unique content.

The website aims to give fans of the show an in-between-episode fix by providing gossip from inside the models’ house through exclusive photos, videos, polls and competitions, creating extra buzz and interest around the series.

Social network integration for the series will also see the use of Twitter feeds and Facebook Open Graph features.

Dave Eccles, managing director at Numiko, explained the qualities that led to the agency’s appointment: “As an agency, we have come to understand entertainment brands and how stories evolve. We also have a deep understanding of how people really use technology and what they want from it.”

And Virgin Media Television’s Tanya Carus Blacher added: “This year's season of Britain’s Next Top Model is really raising the bar for the show; with Elle, an HD production and now a gorgeous, glossy, socially-integrated site produced by Numiko.”

Virgin Media Television is the most recent addition to Numiko’s roster of broadcast clients, which also includes BBC, ITV.com and Lion Television.
