Dorset's white cliffs are turned into a giant TV screen in a new video by digital agency Twentysix to promote Epson's portable projectors to video gamers.

The film, designed to show gamers how they can turn virtually any backdrop into a screen, shows Epson's projectors being used to project games onto buildings and rock faces across Europe.

It is a follow-up to Epson's last viral which told the story of Extreme Gamer, a computer games fan who takes his games into nightclubs, windtunnels and other bizarre locations.

In this new installment he packs a van choc-full of consoles, Epson equipment and a soundsystem and hits the road to try and wow games fans in Paris and Barcelona before taking a boat to the south coast.

When he reaches Dorset we see the gamer and friends playing a beta release of Disney’s Split Second against the white cliffs.

Paul Coffey, Twentysix MD, said: “Epson wanted to show gamers that enjoying big-screen video game experiences is now easy. All the kit that was once seen as clunky business equipment is now sleekly designed for consumer use. Gamers can play big anywhere, and this film reminds them of that.”

Epson's Sophie Layer added: “Following the fantastic success of the first Extreme Gamer viral that generated over 1 million views, this new film aims to raise the brand and product’s profile further.

“We’re really pleased with the film, which twentysix has produce with its characteristic creative flair. We’re confident it will fuel the imagination of gamers everywhere.”

Twentysix worked with Asylum Films and production company Your Mum to create the film.
