Dairy brand Rachel's put up for sale for £20 million

It has been reported that Dean Foods is set to sell of organic dairy brand Rachel’s Organic with an asking price of £20 million.

The company is currently implementing plans to restructure as it looks to cut more than 500 jobs this year, and make savings of up to $300 million dollars over the next few years, with the Welsh dairy apparently seen as being superfluous to its plans due to a competitive dairy marketplace.

So far neither Dean’s nor Rachel’s has commented.

Rachel’s recently launched a new website, created by Sequence, as part of the promotion of its new yoghurt range, which promoted activities for families in the early morning to enjoy.
