BAE Systems engineers education site with AWA
BAE Systems has worked with Leeds-based digital agency AWA to create a new website for its UK education programme.
The site aims to promote engineering as a career option to schoolchildren and is aligned to the science, technology, engineering and mathematics curriculum at all Key Stages.
Each year the website will change to reflect new themes being taught offline. Its theme for 2010 is biomimicry and the way that nature inspires engineering innovation.
Richard Hamer, education programme director at BAE Systems, said: “By focusing on concepts such as the use of biomimicry in engineering and encouraging students to rate engineering feats on a ‘cool wall’, we’re confident that the site will play a big role in inspiring the next generation of engineering talent.”
