Darlington Borough Council is seeking to create a design framework with a budget of up to £1,500,000.

The two-year agreement will see up to five suppliers appointed to the framework and is being created as community well-being is highlighted as a key aim of all the Tees Valley local authorities and their partners.

An integral part of the aim is having communities with a good sense of place where parks, green spaces and environmental facilities should be at the heart of the community. These provide places for people to relax, exercise and to play as well as a space for community activity and education.

Commissions will see agencies assist the Council to work with local communities to deliver aspirations within its Sustainable Community Strategy and will help secure external funding while also building local networks tying into external partnerships.

Although initially set for a two year period, the contract maybe renewed on two annual occasions.

Assessing documents can be requested from the Council until 15 June.
