Visit Chester & Cheshire (VCC) will try to attract short break visitors with a new campaign that promotes the events taking place in the region this summer.

The organisation hopes events including the RHS show at Tatton Park and the Creamfields festival will help hook in visitors who will then stay to see more of the region afterwards.

It has worked with Manchester agency Access to create press advertising and inserts, email marketing, outdoor and display advertising, which promote the headline events to attract visitors who are within two hours' drive time.

The approach means VCC's stakeholders and members can can cross-sell between events, hotels and attractions for "the greater good of attracting visitors to the county".

To help this collaboration Access has also created a marketing toolkit including press ads, emailer templates and footers and banner ads, which VCCs partners can download from the tourist board’s corporate website to use themselves.
