Muso, the music magazine that targets a younger generation of classical music fans, has been redesigned by Manchester studio Young.

The bi-monthly title is targeted at the 16-30 generation of classical music enthusiasts and Young was commissioned to create a contemporary new look that would better reflect the nature of its content.

"Muso is an alternative classical music magazine and we were looking for a new, contemporary design that would reflect the editorial content's diversity," said Claire Jackson, Muso's editor.

"Young successfully created a fresh, clean look that was in line with the brand and instantly lifted the aesthetic of the publication. The design team worked within the parameters of the specification provided, as well as bringing their own creativity to the pages – I am delighted with the result," Jackson added.

Design studio Young was formed eight months ago by creative partners Pete Jarvis and Geth Vaughan. It has worked with End Water Poverty, Manchester University, Lifeline Publications and the Manchester Science Festival on branding and illustration projects.
