Insurance firm UIA is set to reposition its online focus to support the growth of its home insurance business.

Hômejames has been appointed to run a combination of Pay Per Click, SEO & Social Media techniques across a variety of online channels to raise the profile of UIAs home insurance offering and help grow market share. The strategy will also include reviewing on-site interaction to help improve the conversion rate of visitors to the site. The activity forms part of UIAs wider plan to increase its share of the online market for general home insurance.

Hômejames was awarded the ongoing six-figure contract following a competitive three way pitch.

Carol Harrison, UIA commented: “We’ve identified an opportunity to grow market share and we’re confident that Hômejames will help us to reach new markets and raise awareness of our capability to provide home insurance to the general public, as well as trade union members.”

Michael Ward, managing director, Hômejames said: “The challenge is to reposition the look and feel of the website as specialists in general consumer insurance, whilst maintaining its authority as a leading provider of insurance for trade union members; that’s where we’re likely to see the biggest growth. We’re working closely with UIA to ensure that the changes take into account both audiences and they maintain their stronghold within the trade union space.”
