The government funded UK Resource Centre for Women in Science, Engineering and Technology (UKRC) has appointed Leeds-based Clearsilver to redesign its brand identity.

UKRC, which is Government funded by the Department of Business, Innovation and Skills, is the leading organisation for the provision of advice and support for under-represented women working in science, engineering and technology (SET) sectors.

The organisation, which was launched in 2004, aims to improve the participation and position of women working in SET industries by offering advice to students in higher education and supporting women in these male dominated sectors.

The Leeds-based agency took part in a competitive pitch to win the business.

Clearsilver will be also redesigning UKRC’s website to reflect the new brand identity. The site will be used as an information tool for students and women working and studying in the male dominated sectors; as well as a hub for information on UKRC for the media and the Government.
