Tate Liverpool has appointed aka to plan and buy the media for its forthcoming exhibition Picasso: Peace and Freedom.

The gallery appointed aka, which works with the arts and entertainment industry from offices in Manchester, London, New York and Melbourne, after a five-way pitch.

Intended to raise exposure of the exhibition and drive ticket sales from the UK and abroad, aka will handle a media push covering print, outdoor and online advertising.

Jemima Pyne, communications and publishing manager at Tate Liverpool, said: "Picasso: Peace and Freedom is a major exhibition for Liverpool and the North West. Working with aka we want to ensure it's a must see for visitors this summer."
