The Forestry Commission has appointed the Southampton office of Grayling to handle its communications requirements across the New Forest District.

The Government department, which has a responsibility for expanding and promoting the sustainable management of woodland for the benefit of the environment appointed the agency following a four-way-pitch.

Caroline Searle, director and head of Grayling in the South, said: “The Forestry Commission is the UK’s largest land manager and the biggest provider of outdoor recreation. We are looking forward to promoting the wide ranging activities available to people living near the New Forest, as well as the essential work that the Forestry Commission’s rangers, foresters, keepers and other staff undertake to protect our woodland.”
