Leeds integrated digital marketing agency fuse8 has appointed 11 new online team members following a string of new business wins worth over £3m.

The agency has its online project management and design team based in the UK whilst its technical resource, comprising 34 coders and programmers, are located in a wholly-owned subsidiary in Chelyabinsk, Russia. The appointments see seven people join fuse8 in Leeds and the remainder in Russia.

Nigel Hunter, fuse8’s managing director, said: “We have had a tremendous run of new business success which has seen us secure a significant amount of new online projects. Our resources have been increased accordingly to effectively manage the work and are very pleased to have been able to recruit a group of outstanding individuals to join the team.

“Securing the services of Brian Schur, who was previously head of internet and IT development at online hotel directory Superbreak, as head of marketing services online is particularly satisfying as he has an excellent reputation within the industry.”

Other recruits joining the Leeds office are Stephen Liversidge, technical project manager; Paul Mackenzie, user interface developer; Martin Pownell, information architect; James Macpherson, online designer and Lisa Capper and Cara Dixon who both join as account executives.

The Russian office has been bolstered by three new .NET developers - Dennis Buduev, Gleb Teterin, and Irina Makovetskaya - whilst Eugene Nasyrov joins as project manager having previously worked for Apple.

Nigel continued: “We are clearly differentiating ourselves within the marketplace by being able to integrate marketing services, web and business solutions to provide our clients with a sound strategic advice and results-driven tactical implementation.

“We believe we are one of the only agencies in the country able to effectively link these three business critical areas and it is our intention to continue to develop this powerful offer in line with the latest technology platforms and applications.”

Established in 2000, fuse8 has an annual fee income of £5.5m. Clients include domestic electrical products manufacturer Miele, UK Top 100 law firm Gordons, STORM Watches, Government international business development organisation UK Trade & Investment, inward investment service Invest Thames Gateway and sustainable community developer BioRegional Quintain.
