Hillarys, the leading blinds company with an annual turnover in excess of £90m, has launched a new e-commerce curtain site through agency Code Computerlove.

The new curtains website has been produced by Hillarys’ digital marketing agency of five years, Manchester based Code Computerlove. Code also created the award winning web-blinds.com site for made-to-measure blinds that you measure and fit yourself and Hillarys.co.uk, which supports the in-home fitting local adviser service.

Susan White, Hillarys’ head of online, said: “Each week Hillarys takes around 6000 orders and manufacturers in the region of 30,000 bespoke blinds for customers up and down the country. As well as blinds, Hillarys also offers made-to-measure shutters plus awnings for the outside of the home, being the market leader for both of these products too. It’s this experience that makes Hillarys perfectly placed to now add curtains to its range.”

White added: “The site, and business model, follow the highly successful web-blinds.com format, which scooped a Revolution award for Best Retail Site (beating off competition from major global brands Nike, Fat Face, Levi Strauss and Net-a-Porter to win the category).”

The curtains site offers made-to-measure and ready made curtains in 150 curtain fabrics, grouped into colours. It also sells cushions and fabric by the metre. Consumers can complete the whole process online, from getting design tips, choosing fabrics, and ordering a sample to placing an order. There are also measuring and hanging instructions, and customer reviews for added peace of mind.
