A new design agency launched by ex Shandwick Design director Morag Malloy and John Shaw, formerly of Pointsize Wolffe, has taken to the streets of Glasgow.

Fissionc's founder Morag Malloy was director of Shandwick Design for over 10 years and, prior to that, was also with Crombie and Yellow M. Fission’s other director John Shaw was previously with Pointsize (latterly Pointsize Wolffe) for 10 years until its demise earlier this year and before that Red Cell (Scott Stern).

The agency has already been developing a suite of customer communications for Scottish IT firm tmas, as well as working for a global engineering firm, producing corporate brochures and a refresh of its corporate identity, while also producing the visual promotions for the Oxfam spin-off Oxjam.

Last week, the team took the Fission sofa onto the streets of Glasgow to promote the agency's Fission Fridays Expression Sessions, a chance to take up one-to-one advice sessions.

Malloy said: "Fission’s philosophy is based on a combination of creative, effective design, but married with excellence in project management – in my experience this is an area where some clients can feel let down. Results-driven brand and design is one crucial way to boost the Scottish economy, now that companies are starting to put marketing back on the agenda again as part of the upturn in economy. So this is our way of helping to contribute to the economic recovery."
