A partnership between Falkirk Council, Scottish Enterprise, BP and INEOS aiming to promote and develop Falkirk as a better place to live and invest has appointed Smarts to handle its PR communications.

The partnership, called My Future’s in Falkirk, launched in 2002 and has already been involved in the opening of the Falkirk Wheel and the construction of Falkirk FC’s football stadium. It is now looking to increase its voice in national media and has appointed Smarts to engage key stakeholders, including the local community and local businesses, and raise awareness of the partnership and its benefits.

Fergus Reid, director of Smarts, commented: “Smarts is thrilled to be part of such an important regeneration project, not only for Falkirk, but for all of Scotland too. We are looking forward to delivering a new communications strategy and to engaging with the key stakeholders in order to highlight the economic, social and leisure opportunities Falkirk has to offer.”
