Two north west PR figures have been recognised for their work in the industry with Fellowships from the Chartered Institute of Public Relations.

Sally Sykes, communications director at the Health and Safety Executive, and Tony Tighe, chairman and CEO of Mere Communication Group, were commended for their "outstanding work in public relations and service to the Institute".

The pair join an elite group of 10 other fellows in the CIPR north west group holding the Institute's highest level of membership. They were presented with their Fellowships by chairman of the CIPR north west, Dave Sanders.

"They fully deserve this recognition for the professionalism and commitment they have demonstrated not only in delivering the highest quality of public relations but also for their support for the CIPR in the North West," Sanders said.

Skyes and Tighe said it was an honour to be recognised by their peers.
