The Small Agency has resigned from its account with BacoFoil manufacturer Baco Consumer Products.

The Yorkshire agency started working with Baco brands in January this year and was appointed to market its hero product BacoFoil in April. Its work included digital, above-the-line and PR activity.

But the agency said it reached a decision to resign its entire account with Baco after having "increasingly different views on brand-strategy" with the client.

Stuart Grainger, managing director of The Small Agency, said: "I’d like to thank Baco for respecting our decision to resign the account. Like any business, the bottom line is important to us, but what is paramount, is the agency’s professional belief in what we are achieving for our clients.

“As a strategic and passionate agency, we work with clients to do what we feel is right for their brands and to achieve the objectives we’ve been given.

"Despite being appointed on the strength of our ideas, we increasingly found ourselves being pushed unwillingly in a different strategic direction, which we didn’t feel comfortable with. I wish Baco every success for the future.”

The agency's PR division is currently working the final month of its three-month notice period for Baco.
