Former Evening Times business editor joins Weber Shandwick

PR consultancy Weber Shandwick is to boost its Glasgow team with the appointment of former Evening Times business editor, Jonathan Rennie.

Rennie joins the consultancy as account manager from the Evening Times, where he held the post of business editor and latterly worked as a senior writer across the Herald and Times Group.

A graduate of the University of Glasgow and with more than ten years' journalistic experience, Rennie was the Evening Times' first graduate trainee.

Bill Ranatunga also joins the Glasgow office as an account executive. A communications, advertising and public relations graduate from Napier University, Ranatunga was named the Chartered Institute of Public Relations UK Student Rep of the Year in 2008.
