The brand and staff of Liverpool ACME, the development agency for Liverpool’s creative industry have been retained following its merger with Liverpool Vision.

Following the announcement of the merger in March which led to speculation as to the roles of ACME’s three staff, Kevin McManus, director of ACME, Ian Hughes, Information and Research Office and Claire Walker, freelance sector development manager, it has emerged that they will continue in their roles under the Vision umbrella.

Mike Taylor, Liverpool Visions director of investment and enterprise said: "Over many years ACME has done a fantastic job in supporting development of the creative sector and is a much respected organisation, one which clearly understands the needs and opportunities of creative industries. Liverpool Vision will continue the work of ACME, maintaining the well-recognised brand, and, through Kevin McManus, continuing to provide intelligent and knowledgeable support, which has become ACME's leitmotif. The creative sector represents one of the future great growth prospects for the city and its influence following European Capital of Culture is not only growing, but becoming more important."
