The Birmingham office of WPR has secured a fourth brand from the Manchester-based HomeForm Group, the largest retailer of kitchens, bedrooms and bathrooms in the UK.

WPR has been retained by HomeForm since 2003, working across its Moben, Sharps and Dolphin ranges, and briefed to target consumers via home interest titles, women's press and national supplements.

Under its expanded brief, the agency has now been appointed to handle press activity for Kitchens Direct - an online offering with "direct from manufacturer" prices.

The account is worth close to £100,000 in fee to WPR and is looked after by a team of three - all working out of the firm's Birmingham office.

WPR deputy managing director and head of home interest, Jo McCarthy, said: "We were initially taken on by HomeForm six years ago with a brief to increase PR-led sales for Sharps' Bedrooms. We quickly demonstrated a good return on investment and subsequently added Dolphin Bathrooms and Moben Kitchens to the portfolio.

"Kitchen's Direct completes the picture. The brand has not had external PR support before and we are extremely confident that we can use media relations to drive sales over the coming months, despite tricky market conditions.

"Our appointment has certainly been well received by the target media and we are already working on some great opportunities for the client."
