The Drum has obtained the list of agencies pitching for the £10m Subway account, which is expected to take place tomorrow.
Contrary to previous reports that Frame, the incumbent on the account, would face three London agencies, it is understood that the McCann Erickson Network, Iris London and London-based ad agency Krow will pitch for the business.
It is thought that if McCann is successful, the account may be handled by all of its UK agencies including Manchester, London, Birmingham and Bristol, while the London office of Iris will also be involved in servicing the business if it goes there.
The pitch is being run by AAR.

Well feel free to elaborate then...
Which part ? The size of the account? The date of the pitch? The pitch list? The McCann bit of the story? Or maybe the pitch isn't being run by the AAR at all?
Or maybe the word "fresh" in the strapline?

Drum
This site is rapidly becoming a repository for class-A cretins. Maybe it's time to lose the anonymous option after all? Life's too short to read this nonsense, and it's not doing your image any favours.
This story is incorrect - and the reason why there are anonymous comments is because there are confidentiality implications
I don't think it is The Drum's fault, afterall there are thousands and thousands of websites that allow users to post comments without them being censored. The problem is that the media marketing community, especially in Scotland, has a number of immature idiots within who have nothing more constructive to contribute than this sort of shite.
I particularly like the barbed comments and have been coming on here more than ever recently. Giles, just stop reading when you get to the bottom of the article.

I do hear what Giles is saying...but fuck I can't help but love the cynicism in the creative industry! It's second to none...and no. I wasn't being cynical.

Best of luck to Frame

Bish, Angus and the rest of the team.
Blooming good luck guys. Having big brands in Scotland is good for us all.

Good luck to Frame indeed. And if posting comments with your name declared generated a link to your own site or blog, maybe people would be less inclined to take the anonymous option and more inclined to write intelligent, thought-provoking comments.

Yes, good luck Frame!
Personally I don’t think the option to post comments ‘anonymously’ should be there. If you haven’t the balls to put your name to it, then DON’T!

Sounds like The Drum needs to keep the Trolls at bay.

I guess anonymous postings allow people to comment on pertinent subjects without the risk of internal politics threatening their job or future career.
It's a very incestuous industry after all.
Maybe the solution lies in better reviewing procedures. Scamp checks each comment and publishes accordingly.
With regards to the story, great to hear about big brands in the regions. Preferably my home town of B'ham.
Let's not blandify another ad forum by having some poor sod censor all the interesting bitchy tidbits so a load of pompous bores can drone on at each other.

Yeah, fair enough.
Otherwise It'll all become a bit saga fm.

Ah, you say it's all good fun, Mr Anon. But if you were on the receiving end of abuse, I bet you'd start to weep like a newly widowed hay-fever sufferer sniffing funeral bouquets. Or something.
Hmmmm, I dunno. The AAR has been to quite a few agencies for creds...looks like they might mean business.

Best of luck to frame. They've serviced Subway's UK needs so far on their own without a hitch
