Redcats UK win for AWA

Following a competitive pitch, AWA has been appointed as online advertising agency for Redcats UK’s La Redoute and Vertbaudet brands.

The Leeds-based agency will now work with the Redcats UK team to develop a variety of campaigns across channels including display advertising, SEO and Online PR.

The first in a series of display campaigns (see image gallery) went live last week, with AWA responsible for creative execution and online media planning and buying.

With a theme of ‘What will you be packing for this summer?’ the campaign highlights the breadth of the La Redoute range and its appropriateness for all summer holiday destinations.

Commenting on the campaign, Christina Marks, AWA’s managing director said: “To ensure that the campaign really does achieve stand out from the many other womens’ fashion retailers and succeeds in driving new customers and incremental sales, we have developed a range of highly engaging banners.

“Customers can specify if they’re looking for inspiration for a city, beach or country holiday and the ad will then showcase a staple item which can be dressed differently by day and night.

“This versatility and the fact that up to £40 can be saved on each look delivers a subtle twist on the ‘credit crunch’ deals currently being offered by other retailers.”

Commenting on the appointment of AWA, Philippe Morin, Head of E-Commerce at Redcats UK said: “The AWA team has demonstrated an ability to create compelling creative campaigns backed up by a strong media strategy.

“They understand what sets La Redoute and Vertbaudet apart from our competition and this difference has been captured in their pitch creative and this first campaign. We’re delighted to be working with them.”
