Leeds College of Building has worked with MDA:Creative on a campaign to combat negative coverage of the downturn in the construction industry.

The campaign is the result of the college's concerns that students may be put off pursuing a career in construction because of media coverage of the industry's plight.

Stockport-based MDA was briefed to create a campaign that positively promoted the college without hiding the facts of the recession.

The resulting cross media campaign features the Leeds skyline created out of text books in striking bright colours. It is now appearing around Leeds on 48-sheet poster sites, bus sides, phone box sites, banners, cinema and press ads.

Jane Hudson, group account director at MDA, said: "I am looking forward to seeing the impact it has on student numbers at the college next year."
