Government run programme The Small Business Research Initiative has undergone a rebranding process overseen by Oxfordshire creative agency Mark Making.

Mark Making was invited to rebrand the programme to SBRI following its recent work with the Technology Strategy Board.

The rebrand was part of a broader objective to clarify the SBRI offering and generate more interest and engagement, both within Government departments and externally.

In doing so, the agency explored numerous naming possibilities, but ultimately focused on revitalising the identity by retaining the acronym and introducing the use of a strapline.

The new identity has been applied to brochures and exhibition banners and are currently producing corporate guidelines.

The SBRI is a programme that brings solutions to specific public sector needs, by engaging a broad range of companies in competitions for ideas that result in short-term development contracts.
