SBP Creative Solutions (SBP) has taken over Applecroft Print Management and Mind’s Eye Creative as it looks to expand its offering.

As a result of the take overs to include print consultancy and management, press production, graphic design, creative artwork, website design, photography and e-marketing.

The acquisition of Applecroft Print Management, whose clients include Ryanair, Globespan and BP amongst others, will add to SBP’s existing client base.

Design company Mind’s Eye Creative has grown to a size where a greater internal support network was required to take the company to its next level, whilst providing SBP with the necessary skills to meet their clients’ growing needs.

SBP will be moving into the Applecroft offices in Leith as well as retaining the Mind’s Eye office in Fife.

Calum Mackintosh, creative head at Mind’s Eye, explained “We felt that joining forces with SBP would allow us to develop and expand the quality service we currently offer to our growing client list”.

Mackintosh has taken on the role of creative director of SBP.

Mike Hislop of SBP commented on the acquisitions, “Having worked very hard over the last four years, we feel that the time is right for us to look at expanding our core business in line with the demands of our clients. Our philosophy of running a ‘virtual agency’ - using the best freelance talent around to meet our project briefs - has proved a real success. Although expanding our core team, we will continue on our ‘virtual’ path by bringing in specialist skills as and when required, keeping our overheads and therefore client costs as low as possible. This strengthens our position in the market – providing a flexible needs-based service where our clients don’t have to pay over the odds, or subsidise internal cost centres.”
