Paver Smith has announced it will launch a social marketing unit to work alongside the NHS to promote its campaigns as well as local authorities, charities and education establishments.

Richard Lynch, who joins from Walton Centre for Neurology and Neurosurgery NHS Trust where he was head of marketing and communications, will head up the unit from the agency's Manchester office.

Dougal Paver, managing director of Paver Smith, said: “Innovation is a key plank in our growth strategy, alongside recruiting talented people. Richard’s appointment, and the launch of the Social Marketing Unit, ticks both those boxes and I’m delighted he’s on board.”

Paver also said that he was looking to acquire more Manchester based agencies following the recent acquisition of Stripe Communications and the take-over of Wilmslow-based Pazang PR.
