CIDS set for closure at end of February
Following news that Merseyside Acme’s future hangs in the balance, it has emerged that the Creative Industries Development Service (CIDS) is to close early next month.
The move follows the decision by the Northwest Regional Development Agency to appoint one regional body to oversee the growth of the industry sector and will mean that from the beginning of March, the Northwest Vision and Media will take on the role.
An advisory team for the sector has also been formed. Two staff remain at CIDS following redundancies being issued.
At the time of writing no one was available for comment on the move.
