The Foundry has appointed a number of new staff, as well as recruiting a new business director to help take the Altrincham-based agency in different directions.

Julie Linforth, a former FMCG consultant and senior marketing manager, took up the position this month.

Linforth previously ran her own business since 2001 and worked at a senior level within the Healthcare and FMCG sectors.

Kevin Murphy, MD of The Foundry said: “Julie’s background is a perfect fit for this role. She has an impressive track record in marketing and an in-depth understanding of clients’ needs having undertaken huge projects with some of the UK’s best-loved brands. As one of the UK’s top 50 design agencies, we have established excellent relationships with clients and grown existing business continuously but an agency can’t stand still so we hope Julie’s expertise will introduce us to a new range of business sectors across the UK. It’s a very exciting time and we are very pleased to have her on board.”

Linforth added: “Having worked mainly client-side, this role presents a fantastic opportunity to bring new business opportunities to The Foundry. I am thrilled at the prospect of helping to grow The Foundry’s business and look forward to the challenges that 2009 will bring.”
