The full private sale of Edinburgh and London based agency CMDA has been completed with remaining staff offered to transfer to London.

The cash deal which was completed in the middle of December has seen the company taken over by a private London-based investment network and has meant the closure of the Edinburgh office while the London office will continue.

Half of the 10 staff based in Edinburgh have been offered the opportunity to move to positions in London.

It is thought that Craig Duff, MD will look to move into new opportunities which he hopes to announce in the near future as a second deal nears completion.

The company's order book, client list and part-team are expected be merged into an existing operation.

Duff said the deal: "This is an excellent time for a new challenge after an enjoyable seven years at the helm of a superb agency. I'm extremely proud of my team and wish everyone the best of luck for the future - whether that means a move within Edinburgh or a transfer to London where the agency will, hopefully, continue to produce great work".

He continued to say that the next stage would see the integration of the digital and DM divisions which would see the creation of a 22 strong staffed agency taking place in February and may also see the acquisition of a PR offering.
