The Liquid Way appointed Kommando – to utilise its nomadic hand held projector technology – to launch Heattech for Japanese fashion brand Uniqlo.

Teams using the Glasgow-based agency's hand-held projector technology, targeted cold November shoppers, raising awareness of Heattech, Uniqulo’s range of thermal clothing, driving purchase in-store at the Japanese retailers flag ship store on Oxford Street, London.

Using thermal imaging video cameras, shoppers were able to view their live thermal image on the interactive overhead Pixmonitor LCD screens. Designed to demonstrate to shoppers their hot and cold spots, sending shoppers in store to warm up and to wise up to Heattech clothing.

Crowds formed outside the store as consumers stopped to watch the heat detectors undertake their thermal imaging investigation.

The first campaign of its kind, Mark Evans, managing director of Kommando said: “Amplifying the core range of products from in-store and taking them beyond the shop front has always been a challenge, but with this campaign, Kommando can prove that good ideas and great technology can give measurable response through engaging customer experience."
