Dinosaur confirms Lloyd exit as Beaumont acquires shares
Manchester-based agency Dinosaur has officially confirmed that founding partner Chris Lloyd has left the business after nine years – with his shares acquired by co-founder Mark Beaumont.
Having been synonymous with Dinosaur since its inception in 1999, Lloyd said he was now looking forward to a well-earned break over the next few months while he considers ‘a number of new opportunities’.
He said: “Dinosaur has been a big part of my life over the past nine years, but I feel the time is right for me to strike out in a new direction. The creative fire is still burning and I want to ensure I find the best possible platform for my next move.”
Dinosaur insist the parting of ways of the two directors has been amicable, with Beaumont, who now holds complete ownership of the agency, wishing Lloyd well.
Beaumont, pictured right, said: “Everybody at Dinosaur wishes Chris the very best. We’ve been aware of Chris’s desire to embrace a new challenge and the staff have been in the loop for some time.
“Change is good for any business, as it’s a catalyst for new possibilities and ideas, and we’re already gearing up for the next chapter in Dinosaur’s success.”
Grant Mercer will continue in his role as non-executive chief executive at the Northern Quarter-based agency.
The advertising and design agency employs a team of 20 people, handling clients including The Co-operative, npower and Gola.
