Navy Blue has appointed a new design director, as three of its creative team depart the agency.

Navy Blue has appointed Michael O’Shea as its new design director and is now looking to bring in several new members to bolster its Edinburgh creative department.

O’Shea was previously a senior designer at Leeds-based, Propaganda.

However, going in the other direction is designer Craig Wilson, who has been nominated as Emerging Designer of the Year at this year’s Scottish Design Awards, who is leaving the agency to join Stand. Sophie Moore is also set to depart from the creative team to join rival Edinburgh design company, Hookson and Richie Hartness has decided to move to New Zealand.

“I take it has a huge compliment that agencies seek to recruit from our creative team,” said creative director Jonathan Evans. “Both individuals have been with the company since graduating and have blossomed into very accomplished designers under the guidance of a very experienced and talented team of design directors and we wish them well,” he added.
