For the second time, the Scottish Government has delayed announcing the results of the first round of its creative tender, as it continues to work through the ‘overwhelming’ number of applications that it received.

A spokesperson for the Government said that it hoped applicants would be made aware of the outcome of the selection stage in the next two weeks.

Originally, agencies that had completed a pre-qualifying questionnaire (PQQ) were due to hear whether or not they had made it through to the next stage of the tendering process at the end of March. This was then delayed by a month due to an ‘overwhelmingly high response rate’ with 462 applicants tendering.

Each of these applications must be considered by the Procurement Department individually, which has created the further delay.
