The Lane Agency, previously a subsidiary of John Martin Group, is poised for management buy out

Despite the buyout, the agency will continue to service the John Martin Group account.

Based in the Seafield region of Edinburgh, The Lane will be headed by Ali Findlay, who will act as MD, overseeing a team of ten, including four in the creative department and six in the client team.

Findlay previously headed up the department alongside Paul Johnston in the creative department, who will also continue with the agency both as majority shareholders in the company.

Over the two years, the agency has brought in a number of clients, predominantly in the automotive sector, such as Sytner Group’s Edinburgh Lamborghini, Maserati, Bentley and Porsche dealerships, Flemings Dundee and Citroen Retail Group in Scotland, as well as Daimler Chrysler’s Scottish Collaborative dealer account.

The agency is now also working outside of this sector, having picked up Nick Nairn Cook School, and Nick Nairn Enterprises, theStore Company, Burness LLP, Scotia Homes (south), property investors Mackenzie MacMillan and photographer Colin Prior.

The full buyout and management team is expected to be in place at the start of next month.
