Mezzo has devised a new learning system designed to revolutionise staff training at the Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust.

Hospital staff across the Trust are the first in the UK to try out the new portable media players developed by Mezzo to alleviate the pressures of training all staff members in areas such as infection control, fire safety and medicines management.

The new portable players mean members of staff are no longer restricted to computer lab-based training sessions, particularly useful for shift and night workers.

The PMPs enable staff to securely log on to a central database which tracks their progress and keeps the Trust up to date with their training. The player has a USB connector for PC use and an audio voice-over facility which gives the user step-by-step instructions.

Over 1,000 training episodes have been delivered across the Trust so far.
