The English Group has created a portfolio of new portrait commissions of 21 of the UK’s most inspiring women in association with the National Portrait Gallery, project sponsors BlackBerry and photographer and performer Bryan Adams.

The ‘Modern Muses’ portraits includes supermodel Erin O’Connor and actress Anne-Marie Duff and will go on display at the National Portrait Galley for three months, starting March 2008.

Adams, along with BlackBerry, hosted a champagne reception for an exhibition of life-size prints of the photographs in London last month. The English Group designed and created all the exhibition graphics for the event, including a 32-page teaser invitation featuring all the portraits rendered as outlines in silver foil, and a large format exhibition monograph featuring all the portraits.

The portraits will also be featured within the event publication for the BlackBerry Women and Technology Awards, overseen by The English Group.
