Glasgow-based design consultantancy, D8 has opened a new office in Birmingham due to increasing demands to service clients south of the border.

The company has built a strong client base across Scotland and the rest of the UK, most notably forming a niche within the arts sector, offering creative solutions across print, web, interiors and exhibition design.

The company, which started in 1999 and is now 26 strong, has secured high profile clients including Arnolfini, The Lowry, ScottishPower and Six Cities.

Keith Dodds, will now take up the position of director of D8 Birmingham. He believes the move will create new opportunities for the growing company, saying: "Birmingham's location is great for accessing most places in England, the city itself being on the cusp of reinventing itself in the same way that Glasgow has over the past decade.”

Meanwhile, D8 continues to develop its relations with clients in Scotland, most recently creating a new identity, website graphics and all print material for Glasgow’s largest multi art forms festival, Merchant City Festival; a new website for national car dealership, taggartsonline.co.uk; and a new bar and restaurant in Glasgow's Merchant City, The Gate and Secret Garden.
