Following the announcement made last month that Scottish Furniture giant Reid is set to pull its creative advertising account in-house, head of marketing Ann Gibb has revealed that it will continue to plan and buy its £8m media account through incumbent agency Feather Brooksbank.

“To change that would be a nightmare,” she says. “At present we have between 40 and 50 TV, radio, outdoor, POS and press adverts running every week in Scotland and Ireland.”

Reid splits its account between Feather Brooksbank and parent company Carat, with Carat buying media in Ireland.

Meanwhile, the new creative team started at Reid this week. New head of creative, Charlie Boyle joins from BD Network; Angela Brown arrives from Levy McCallum where she was studio manager and Steven Lally joins from Kemsley in Glasgow. Gibb is currently recruiting for a graduate trainee to complete the team.
