Advertisingworks has beaten off a clutch of national companies to win the £1m contract to supply advertising services to three Ayrshire councils.

The Ayr-based team pipped a number of rivals, including incumbent agencies Euro RSCG Riley and Barkers Scotland to provide a complete advertising service for South, North and East Ayrshire Councils.

The one year contract, with the option of a further two years, will see Advertisingworks provide the councils with a complete planning, media buying and design service for all public notice, recruitment and promotional media advertising.

MD Alex Knox said: “We are particularly delighted to win this account in the face of competition from a number of Glasgow and Edinburgh agencies. It proves that small agencies can often out-perform big ones.”

The Agency was launched in 1996. In 2001 the Advertisingworks gained official agency recognition from the major Scottish media organisations.
