Dairy Farmers of Britain has appointed Biss Lancaster’s Manchester office to handle its PR account, following a three-way pitch.

The agency will support the Dairy Farmers of Britain’s ‘mother brand’ Cadog; a range of soft cheeses made at the Lubborn creamery; the new Wonder Cow kids brand described; and Granini, the international fruit juice brand which Dairy Farmers of Britain will distribute in the UK.

Board director Melissa Hinds and account director James Crawford will head up the account. Hinds said: “Food is now all about sustainability, provenance and the environment, and it is fantastic to be involved with an organisation that is owned and run by British dairy farmers.”

Based in Nantwich, Dairy Farmers of Britain is dedicated to using traditional methods of farming and markets around 1.6billion litres of milk each year from its 2600 member farms, as well as producing an extensive range of award-winning cheese brands.
