Baxters Food Group, the Scottish-based food producer, has appointed Kerr Arthur as marketing director (UK).

He will assume full director responsibilities for marketing and will join the board of Baxters Food Group.

Arthur, previously brands controller, will build on existing plans and develop new creative platforms to promote Baxters\' high quality soup ranges, pickles, chutneys and preserves throughout the UK.

He joined Baxters 12 months ago from Scottish & Newcastle plc, where he worked across brands such as Fosters, Miller and Becks.

In his new role he will report directly to Audrey Baxter, chairman & chief executive.

Earlier this month, Baxters introduced a new range of real soups in microwaveable pots as an extension to the ‘Soup Choices’ selection.

A range of foods, such as soups, chutney, condiments, preserves and salad accompaniments, are sold under a variety of brands owned by or licensed to the Baxters Food Group.
